Reflection Blog

Recently freewriting has been extremely helpful not only for my creative process but also for my mental health. A lot of my classes require a lot of energy in person and recently that has been a little difficult for me with covid and the workload as we prepare to head home so this method has been a life saver! It can be funny how little things like expressing your thoughts on a piece of paper can be incredibly therapeutic. It can be difficult to stay focused and driven but I do feel as though things are finally falling into place (especially this the outcome of the election) and I FINALLY feel optimistic about the future. As far as my ADE project goes, I have begun to organize my annotations over Word and am feeling confident in the direction and focus of the project.

Hi Taylor, I just saw this post–I am sorry if I missed it before! I wanted to say that this really resonates with me. Freewriting–writing with no point and no pressure–is so therapeutic. It’s a great skill to develop for managing our own issues, especially in stressful and overwhelming times. 🙂
